Process Engineer

SACHEM is a chemical science company with a strong focus on the development of high purity, high performance products and services for its high technology customers. Demand has dictated expansion of SACHEM’s services, production and support to a global capacity. SACHEM Europe is based in Zaltbommel, the Netherlands.

The Process Engineer will be part of the department OSG (operation support group). He will have close contacts with the Production Manager, the Analytical Lab, R&D, QESH and Maintenance departments, Production and external parties for the exchange of information. He will be the key player in the process of improvement and innovation of products and processes not only in technical sense, but also in the field of organization (teamwork), communication, control and execution. The Process Engineer reports to the Plant Manager.

Purpose of the vacant position is to introduce, maintain, improve and optimize de production processes, concerning production capacity, quality and safety.
The main responsibilities of the position are project management (regarding product-and process optimization and troubleshooting), Management of Change and SHE aspects within the production.

• The position of Process Engineer is a very challenging position with great diversity in scope and projects, and intensive multidisciplinary contacts.

• Bachelor or Master Chemical engineering or Chemical Technology;
• At least 7 years relevant work experience;
• Knowledge of organic chemistry is an advantage;
• Knowledge and experience of chemical technological as well as mechanical aspects of process equipments;
• Affinity with legislation in terms of SHE.
