Gentian develops and manufactures high quality, in vitro diagnostic (IVD) reagents for a wide range of clinical chemistry analysers. Their product lines of laboratory tests, for diverse diagnostic targets, provide high accuracy and fast results for both human and veterinary healthcare. Gentian believes that their innovative and accurate diagnostic products lead to improved laboratory efficiency, better decision making in the clinical setting and therefore can improve patients’ outcomes.

Functieomschrijving/taken

You will be part of the business development team, with responsibility for all processes within the assigned products and projects, with the intention to satisfy the customers' needs for service and quality when using or marketing Gentian´s products, to establish and maintain Gentian’s marketing profile and activities, and to support business development and sales efforts and information flows.

  • Development of assigned key OEM partner, establishing a network within the key OEM partner organisation within but not limited to, North America and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), managing the relationship and maximise the sales output, in alignment with the VP Business Development.
  • Responsible for the sales achievements for the assigned products and defined OEM partners.
  • Lead commercial and outbound marketing efforts for assigned products (in order to achieve our short- and long-term sales growth targets.
  • Manage the set expectations in the assigned project with OEM partner(s) (OEM supply), coordinating Gentian’s product development & manufacturing processes with OEM partner(s) staff, establishing and maintain a close relationship to OEM partner(s) stakeholders, in alignment with the VP Business Development.
  • Identification, selection and management of Gentian’s distributors, with the objective to support the Gentian Commercial strategy and maximise sales through the distributors, in alignment with the VP Marketing and Sales (dotted reporting lines).
  • Contribute to product demand budgeting and lead sales forecasting efforts and track the performance against plan for the assigned products and OEM partners.
  • Lead distributor sales initiatives and track performance vs. plan, in alignment with the VP Marketing and Sales (dotted reporting lines)

  • Contribute to the development of Gentian´s strategic goals and quality objectives.
  • Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the VP Business Development informed of all business-critical issues.
  • Attend external conferences, customer and/or OEM partner meetings as required and in accordance with travel regulations.
  • Work requires willingness to work flexible schedule and travel.

Profiel kandidaat

  • Master’s Degree/min. four years relevant studies or PhD level education
  • A Master of Business Administration is an advantage
  • Clinical diagnostics technologies knowledge; especially Immunology/Immunochemistry
  • Knowledge in GMP, ISO 9001/13485, CE-IVD
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English
  • Minimum 5 years of experience from basic market activities within the In Vitro Diagnostics industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience from business development/key account management/ B2B/OEM supply within the In Vitro Diagnostic Industry
  • Negotiation skills is an advantage
  • Network within IVD market is an advantage
  • IT- skills, MS Office Suite
  • Previous experience in reagent sales and/or application support is an advantage
