The Global Market Development Manager (GMDM) is globally responsible for the market expansion and growth of the Health & Nutrition (H&N) business through strengthening the current portfolio and development of new markets and products at Rousselot. The GMDM assesses and develops new business opportunities globally for H&N in the health, nutrition and pharma markets. The GMDM leads innovation projects on new claim developments, line extensions and new product developments and drives market introduction of these on global level.
The GDMD is ambassador for Health & Nutrition with its signature brand Peptan® and has leading role communicating the “science behind” and interact with scientific community. The GMDM works closely with the corporate team, marketing, science and regional H&N teams to drive key H&N sales and marketing activities, e.g., educational seminars, trainings, industry events, networking etc. The GMDM works in close partnership with the Global Director Health & Nutrition, on supporting developing the global business plans and marketing strategies.
The GMDM reports directly to Global Director Health & Nutrition and he/she is part of the Rousselot Global Sales & Marketing team.
Tasks & responsibilities
The GMDM is accountable for implementation of the H&N market development strategy in line with Rousselot’s and its H&N segment strategic plans. He/she develops action plans for specific market categories, segments and health benefits and helps to further professionalize the business development activities in the organization. The GMDM realizes the sales objectives for defined (new) business areas in collaboration with Regional H&N Teams and the Global Director Health & Nutrition.
This position is based in Son (The Netherlands).
Frequent traveling (30 % of time). Overseas trips may require travel during weekends.

• Nutraceutical, ingredients, medical, pharma or chemical industry experience required.

• Business and market development, or technical sales experience with proven track record
• Extensive experience in an international B2B environment
